To conclude this month’s theme: “Women in the maritime sector”, we’re introducing you to another woman with a career path that we hope will inspire you.

Following up on the Instagram LIVE about the profession of female maritime pilot that took place last week with Reshma NILOFER (the first and only female maritime pilot in India), we now introduce you to Solimar VELASCO. She is originally from El Salvador and works as a sailor on yachts.

She allowed SciGi to board her boat to share her journey with us, the realities of her job, and give us some advice on the essential subjects to succeed in this field. We won’t say more, it’s all in the video below!
