We begin this SciGi edition with an introduction to Federica Cacciamani, of Italian origin, a clinician and researcher at the Bordeaux Health Center in France.

Federica’s work is extremely important as it helps define diagnostic criteria for neurodegenerative diseases, particularly Alzheimer’s disease (which affects 900,000 people annually, of whom 2/3 are women in France). In 2021, Federica received the Young Researcher Award for her work on the brain
